You should have at most one 5 million reliever and one 2+ M reliever for this cap. Wouldn't use Wilhelm because of all the ballpark homers. You are also handicapped by being in a neutral park. Lots of relievers in the 1 M or less range that are useful as role men and mop up guys. I'd want to have at least two 3M+ starters to anchor the staff.

Most importantly you need guys who are great VALUES at this cap. I'm not going to mention specific players, you learn that with experience and observing what works for other managers, as well as by utilizing the analytic tools available. Some platoons can be helpful at this cap. For example, I have had some success at 2b and SS platooning two guys for less than 3M for each position.

Two of your division mates are very vulnerable to hard righties. I would take advantage of that. Goreds in your division is a very solid manager, I'd pay close attention to how he crafted his team, for future reference.

I think you will struggle more than a little with your team as presently constituted.

It is not bout hitting, pitching, or defense. It is about value. The team with the most value players will have the best advantage of winning.

Spoken like the true BruceF!!! My question was how to counter ALL-PITCHING teams like Bruce's buzzsaw I had to run into in the Barnstormers semis? Schupp, Kershaw, Pedro, Hecker, Lanier.....

For the bomber teams, what Bruce said, always. Value is King----price probably most important stat.

Arky used to have the most demonic .430 (fake) card when they first added it, but its fixed-----obviously awesome card. You are on some good cards but big salaries really warrant alot of scrutiny. Any lineup spot does. And pitching is dominant. Find the good SP, not just any John Smoltz, but the great values. Sooo many cards, gotta be selective. The RP might come in handy but at least with that configuration, 1+ too many huge arms. Can survive with 2-3 mil guy, 1.5 guy,, mil guy, good specialist or two. Obv more in the circumstances you're scared about here, but 3 4+ mil guys is pretty haard. Broken cards exist in strat. Great ones, but a ton of "broken" lemons also to avoid.
