Davis was a good pick. One of my absolute favorite players and particularly good given the lefty slant. I would have taken him with my 4th or 5th round pick if he was available. On the other hand, left field is pretty deep.

I suspect Andy has seen him on too many of my teams.

I've been suffering from a serious Tommy Davis addiction myself. In standard leagues he's basically always #1 on my card (with Pineiro 2). I knew Lajoie would never last until my pick at the end of the 3rd round but I held out a very faint hope that ol' Tommy would...

I was drafting Davis myself first up until about a year ago. He is a superb value and performs anywhere. But more recently other priorities emerged. I think around the time I dropped Davis, is when you stopped drafting Sutter and Murray 1-2. For a long time that was a given for you.

I debated long and hard over my first pick in this draft. It came down to five guys, once I eliminated Ruth and Bonds. The final order was Pedro, Tris, Ty, Nap and Honus. Naturally I'm delighted that I got my three top choices. I'll have a lot more to say about this once the draft is over.

I'm imagining that most of us, with the exception of Cristano who took serious hits with picks 2-4, are probably quite happy with the way the draft has gone so far. My biggest hope now is that Don and tmfw30 end up in the same division.
