I screwed myself. I played out hundreds of scenario's and everytime I put Bagwell in the mix I couldn't get my team to work. So what do I do................................................draft Bagwell.

I'm surprised we aren't further along than we are, so I turned the clock on. Whose slowing things down ?

A better question is who isn't. Not sure why the question even has to be asked since the pick times are listed on the site, and just a cursory glance shows where the bottlenecks are. There are fairly long pick times by quite a few of the participants, some quite consistently. Others are more variable. Frankly it is irritating at times. Many, including myself, loathe, proxies and probably won't use them. However, no one has come close to exceeding the clock time. Is there some rush to finish this that we don't know about that warrants someone being potentially skipped? Shouldn't the speed of the draft be at the comfort levels of the participants, even if it is too slow for someone like me?

I wish I could take credit for that one - I was off the grid all day yesterday and beefed up a huge proxy list. Gates was waaaay down that list, in the "ok just start putting good players on there so the draft doesn't get jacked up because of me" section, but you guys absolutely slaughtered my list.

I'm thrilled about Hugh Duffy, though. He, I wanted.

Whatever plan I thought I had needs to be re-written now!

I have my picks ahead of time and am using proxies so I should be fairly quick although I keep getting screwed every round. Had to make a desperation move to grab Minute Maid now just got to hope I can make it work!!

I don't think the speed of the draft matters for this league. We will finish 15 round sometime tomorrow or Saturday. That means opening day can't be until Monday February 26th anyway.

Petro: I know that you refused, but say you had agreed to make that 1k bet with me. After these 7 rounds, would you feel better or worse about your odds of winning that 1k?

Unless I'm mistaken, it seems like an advantage to drafting 12th that I hadn't thought of is that I get to pick my ballpark last if I so choose. Not knowing the divisions mitigates this advantage, but I still like it.
