The 1957 Braves were part of ATG 1, which consisted of 35 teams roughly 800 cards total. At that time, strat had not created super advanced cards for the 1957 season. The cards were all Even, not balanced to hit better vs lefties or righties so Aaron and Mathews were "E" rather than 3L and 5R respectively.
I am thinking that the "generic" Hazle card would have then been one that would have hit to a level of .403/.477/.649 vs both lefties and righties and been among the best cards in the set though injury prone. (Since he was 1 for 3 with a HR vs lefties not sure what the new card would look like....maybe better vs lefties??????) My guess is they didn't want Hazle as one of the best cards in the set. Eventually they updated the 1957 cards here to the super advanced/cadillac cards but did not add him.
