Grumpy Old Men Draft Thread - Geekor Up Final Pick

Probably my fault as I went off the draft dock. Nope I did round six I think.

I apologize for some of the missed details on the google doc sheet this year. I was not planning on going back to school and it has definitely been a shock to the system. Which has caused me to miss some things.

Did the 4th round draft pick from the trade get screwed up where zim was supposed to have hveed's 4th round pick?

Yes it did.

Not sure how you can fix it? He can take Renfroe I guess? Or maybe we can make it a 2019 pick? Any Ideas?

If Zim is willing to agree to one of those suggestions then that would be the best solution.

The way I see it, the trade is void unless these two parties want to rework it. In the meantime, holding up the already painfully slow draft even further because of this makes no sense to me. I'd like to hear what Bill (Niners) would do if this happened in one of his leagues.

They traded players and/or picks and the pick zim got wasn't added to the draft in the 4th round so he missed a pick

While we all depend on the commissioner to keep track of this stuff IMHO the parties involved should know what’s going on too. If it were my league the party that didn’t get the pick they were due should have the option of getting any of the players the trade partner picked starting with the missed round. If he doesn’t want any of them he should get the next pick of his trade partner that is immediately available and some other form of compensation, whether that’s a comp pick immediately or an extra prospect pick or some kind of swap where he gets to pick before his trade partner in the next round.

That’s how I’d handle it.
