Grumpy Old Men Draft Thread - Geekor Up Final Pick

What happened??

They traded players and/or picks and the pick zim got wasn't added to the draft in the 4th round so he missed a pick

While we all depend on the commissioner to keep track of this stuff IMHO the parties involved should know what’s going on too. If it were my league the party that didn’t get the pick they were due should have the option of getting any of the players the trade partner picked starting with the missed round. If he doesn’t want any of them he should get the next pick of his trade partner that is immediately available and some other form of compensation, whether that’s a comp pick immediately or an extra prospect pick or some kind of swap where he gets to pick before his trade partner in the next round.

That’s how I’d handle it.

I'm not placing any blame as all 3 of us missed this and I'm willing to give him any of the players I picked after round 3 but maybe let Zim weigh in before we start making things up.

I was simply answering SteveF’s question, not “making things up”, or expecting anyone to do anything except what the commissioner says. That said though, you just said you’d be willing to do one of the things I suggested.

I did ask for ideas too so that is fair. I should have just caught it initially...too anxious to make a pick!

The 2 easiest options would be to either take Renfroe or Vazquez (since those are the only picks I have made after round 3) from me or to take my 2019 4th round pick.

If you don't like those options, it gets dicey and we probably need the commish to weigh in...
