Drops posted: 19 down, 5 to go
oldmansmith2
Terry101
tpiercersn
WJS6768
baseballmike

Oddities noted when updating rosters:

1. Harold Homers dropped Delcarmen who was not on original roster (Conrad dropped during season, instead of now) -- please note that rosters are locked after the draft is completed, except for trades; no new players can be added, even from the shallow end of the player pool.

2. Piloneus382 posted 28 - 7 = 21, but it looks like that was really 27 - 7 = 20. Want to keep one of those drops?

3. Jerm12 now has 17, after trading; needs to be at 18 prior to draft; either pick up one of the drops or add by trading some more.

Just curiuos, if I pick up a dropped player do I have another opportunity to drop/replace that player on my roster during the draft or soon after?

All drops must be completed prior to the draft and teams must have at least 18 players on the roster at the start of the draft.

The only drops allowed after that happen if a team does an uneven trade (e.g., 2-for-1 or pick-for-1) and ends up with more than 28 players on its roster. In that case, a drop would be required.

Rosters are locked at the end of the draft, except for trades. No random drops are allowed during the season.

Hmm, and I could have dropped another player or two without hesitating. I was hopping I didn't have to keep a useless player on my roster all season just cause I need 18 players going in.

The other alternative would be an uneven trade. You've been talking about trading established players for younger ones -- so see if you can trade a guy who is a decent ballplayer today for 2 younger guys with potential.

That would get you back to 18 and also fit in with your plan.
