I'm confused, if pick 85 for hveed is Void( I assume because his roster is full) and pick number 97 for hveed is void, how on earth is pick 94, acquired by hveed in a trade still valid?? why wouldn't he get his own pick at 85 and lose the one at 94?????

No clock, so was the last pick valid? Ray has been busy and not picking much so, not sure if I am up or not

Well Hveed asked me as well and I’m trying to interpret the rule best I can. Before the draft started Hveed would have been done drafting with his 7th round FA pick, therefore would not have technically had an 8th round FA pick (thus could not trade an 8th, 9th, 10th as you cannot trade a pick you don’t have.) When he traded me his 7th round FA pick (his last pick of draft) I included my 8th in the deal.
I figured he then does not get back his 8th round pick that he technically did not have in the first place. If he did get it back there would have been no need for me to include my 8th back in the deal as then his last pick would have already been made when he gains back his own 8th pick.
I always hated the rule and how to interpret it depending on the situation.
It would work far better for me too if he just gained his own 8th back as then I could make my last pick in the 8th too then as there would have been no need for me to include my 8th in the deal.
Instead of putting void beside his 8th round pick it should have instead never technically existed and been Rays spot to pick.
