I had no chance to give my proxies. Because when I left my computer today there was no clock. Why would I.

I CLEARLY stated no clock round 1. which means Clock starts for round 2.

I've been running these drafts for 10+ years and NEVER had an issue with this before. It's understood once the last pick in round one is made, if we are in the clock on period the clock goes on.

Look what you posted right from the rules:

fredpaii wrote:5) There is no clock for Round 1 of each Annual Free Agent draft. All subsequent rounds will operate with a 3 hour clock. Back to back picks results from trades do not result in a 6 hour clock. I f one owner holds 2 picks back to back the total time for both picks is 3 hours.

But it could literally be ANY TIME when round two comes up during the day because round one is off the clock. Therefore, wouldn't make more sense to start the clock the next day after giving people ample time and warning?

And when did three hours per pick become one hour? I know you're going to tell me it's your formula. But I wasn't aware of your formula. I wasn't told that's how you run your drafts.

You're right clock for round two could start anytime, as I said never been a problem before. The no clock for round 1 is simply a courtesy to make sure every owner knows the draft has started, once you make that first pick it's expected you check in or leave proxies. If there was only one pick left are we supposed to wait 24 hours to start round two?

I have no idea what this means? who only had one hour? Just because you have three hours doesn't mean everyone is going to use three hours. This is not an assigned time draft.

It's in the rules, which you are at least familiar enough with to quote them in your posts. If you read them and didn't understannd something I'm happy to explain.

Which player did you miss out on? If' it's the guy I took, I'll gladly give him to you.

No. It's fine. I don't want to make any more waves. Made enough.

Okie Dokie. I'l try and do a better job in future warning new managers that round 2 starts the clock and it can hit any time. So thank you for bringing it to my attention. In saying that, and looking at your previous questions/posts, please be aware, if you are not online and the other 11 managers are , it's conceivable that you could be skipped two or three times if the others all pick in quick succession. I've rarely seen it happen and when it does I usually call a halt to the draft until we figure out if the missing manager is ok. That said if you know you are going to be absent for a period of a day or more, best to leave proxies and/or let me know. If it's a really long period, we could suspend things if need be.

Can someone take my proxies?

I'm up after Zim and again in six picks after that.

You sent me a PM with proxies earlier. Are these good for your next picks? I don’t open proxy posts until the manager who sent them is up to pick if you’re wondering why I didn’t open it. I do that intentionally so as not to let someone else’s choices influence my own.
