Can someone please explain this to me???

Bottom of the 9th inning, my team is up 12-2 and for some inexplicable reason HAL decides to put Ralph Garr who's a 4(+1)e11 in at LF for Rickey Henderson who is a 1(0)e4.

My team settings say nothing about defensive replacements.
My indivitual hitter settings say nothing about defensive replacements.
And Henderson was not injured.

Ultimately It didn't affect anything, but it makes absolutely no sense.

The ONLY thing I can thing is that HAL decided to pull a double switch with Petway getting injured??? Still, why at that situation in the game???

Ricky was having a little tightness in his "hammy" good time to get him out .

Hal seems to have great affection for double switches, even when not warranted.
