In the 8th inning of game 6 of the World Series, Hal left in Bob Humphreys, a journeyman and Jim kAat, whose setting was lefty specialist , to face the opposite side hitters. They got crushed and I lost the game. There should be a better setting or a better explanation of existing settings so that in crunch time of big games relief pitchers would be used like in real life.
Much of it depends on your Pitcher Settings. HAL used Hamilton in Gates Brown's earlier AB as Lefty Specialist, then brought Humphries in, then used Kaat against Brown again, but at this point, you're begnning to tax your bullpen. (I dont think I would personally consider Kaat a Lefty Specialist.)
Like Andy, I'm curious what your settings are. Sometimes, a seemingly bad move by HAL can be explained by a setting. Other times, it's just a bad move made by HAL!

What about the Pitcher Pref page? When two of your 5 RPs are Lefty Specialists, things may start to go downhill pretty quickly if you are relying on your pen. If you are built to rely on your starting staff, that's a different matter.
