I haven't abandoned this thread; I've had a lot of other things on my plate. There appears to be some interest in this league concept. At the beginning of July I'll have more detailed information, but what I'm contemplating at the moment would be a $60 M no DH league where every team would have one $6+ M salaried player, plus three carded Angels whose total salary needs to exceed $9 M [i.e. if they have at least one carded season as an Angel, such as Joe Rudi, then they are eligible]. Thus, those four players would total $15 M + and thus comprise at least 1/4 of your team's total salary. Players could be dropped or traded so long as those two basic rules are adhered to throughout the season. The Angels would be selected by a three round draft. There can be no joint use of an Angels player > $6 M; i.e., he cannot serve as the $6 M man if he's one of the $15 M Angels.
