pitcher or batter card

how can i tell if the batters Strat outcome was due to using the pitchers card or the batters card?

Depends if you are talking about Mystery leagues or normal leagues--the Play by Play gives the actual generated die rolls in normal leagues, in mystery leagues the rolls are hidden.

Sometimes, in Mystery leagues, you can tell which card you have when an injury occurs, or at least narrow it down.

I think the batter/pitcher rolls are still in the totals in misc. stats--that can tell you if a batter has a high number of rolls on the pitcher
