Watergate, stagflation, arena rock and disco, big hair, coke in the dugout, let’s kick off the 70’s!

The draft order for round one of our two-round free-agent / franchise keeper claiming draft is below. Round 2 is serpentine.

Remember, FA's are not eligible as keepers, meaning any FA can be claimed by anyone.

Conversely, to qualify as a franchise keeper, the player must have been on your team for the duration of the 60's season, and be eligible for your franchise again in the 70's.

1. Phillies (MisterG) Robin Yount
2. Pirates (ggyuppie) George Brett
3. Braves (rynecrazy) Gary Carter
4. Tigers (drtripleb) Tim Raines
5. Cubs (kaviksdad) Eddie Murray
6. Cards (Drlanglo) JR Richard
7. Red Sox (FrankM) - Nolan Ryan
8. Dodgers (Bmilner) - Rickey Henderson
9. Reds (davesodu) - Joe Morgan (keeper)
10. Giants (Andy C.) - Paul Molitor
11. Indians (Bill1787) - Rod Carew
12. Yankees (thetallguy747)

[i]* For tie-breaker, once again I looked at head-to-head record...when head to head W-L was even, I looked at run differential.

To qualify for the 70’s, a free agent had to have played in the 70’s. Mike Scott played in 1979, so he qualifies. However, Doc didnt come up until 1984. Therefore, I believe he’s not eligible this time around.

My error. I will update. Thinking that the 1965-1984 time frame included FA's when it's only 1970-1979.
