It's a loophole. Nythawk should be able to keep Mikolas based on the letter of the law. We can close up the loophole for the next draft.

And now we have an issue. Clearly would have been the first pick with the "new" interpretation of the rule. I am 100 percent against this and think we need to pause the draft and rethink this. I have a problem with this and if I was meat or WJS I would be a little ticked. There is 0 way to interpret the reading of this as to "has a card" to "has had a card"

I concur with The Turtle Max Muncy was at the top of my original draft sheet but I scratched him off after reading the rules. I interpreted ‘has a card’ to mean the player has a card. I am very satisfied with my Pivetta pick but absolutely would have taken Muncy had I known that ‘has a card’ didn’t actually mean the player has a card...

I hate to do this but I guess we have a couple of options to vote on before we continue or start draft over.

If I was to make a decision, I would go with #1 and re-start draft from that point .

1. Nythawk129921 needs to repick with draft continuing from him pick (so any pick after his is null and voided), I do not think nythawk129921 should be penalized for interpretation of the current rules, as they are not clear, based on different interpretations from many so far. So all picks will be from those carded this year only.

2. Restart draft from beginning with players who have been carded at anytime available (ie, Muncy, Mikolas, etc.).

3. Nythawk and Edub need to re-pick as those players selected are not available, only carded in current set are available. Draft will not continue until both managers have re-picked.

Any other options to consider before I put this to a vote? No matter what we do, everyone is not going to be in favor of it, I am just trying to do the right thing with this, thus while unconventional, I am leaning towards #1.

I vote for #1. Although the hard line of No. 3 is fine too. I think #2 kills the FA pool for next year's draft.
