JT Rivera has been given his Unconditional Release due to this trade.

Just getting to the trade updating and I have two things:

1. TimK - you need to post a drop as your trade for Inciarte has your roster at 41.

&

2. Wow, on the Betts for Bryant trade. It's one thing for it to be a straight up deal, but to get Segura in addition to Betts. How'd that negotiation go?

I made a pre-emptive offer because I sincerely wanted Bryant for the playoffs and for season 2 (and for the next 10 years).

On the other hand, Bryant has 2 hits in his first 24 at bats for me and the team's lost 5 out of 6.

*sigh*

Gentlemen - I apologize for the delay in getting Season 2 underway. We need to drop up to 3 players for the supplemental draft. This is from our rules tab:

"October or November- 3 round FA draft, based on the standing from the first league. Any drops must be declared before the draft, and any player
dropped goes into the FA pool. You can use 1, 2, 3, or none of your picks in this draft. After this draft is complete, no FA moves of any kind. "

I will post a drop thread.

On another matter, I am simply overwhelmed with work and life at the moment. Not to make excuses, but in addition to my teaching duties (which seem to get more complex every year because of government/administration involvement), I also coach Girls XC, and I am running for city council in my town. Plus, we recently got a puppy, and both my daughters are playing travel club soccer. That being said, I think it best I step down as Commish as I do not/will not have the time to put into SOM. I still hope to maintain my teams, but the Commish thing is too much at this stage. I do hope that one of you would be willing to step in and take over those duties.

And I will try to get an updated roster out sometime this week, though there haven't been many changes since the last one was sent.

Have you heard from Niners since your post and email as to his status?

He had, I’m here for season two and if he’ll do me the favor of either putting position columns on the roster sheet or allowing me to edit it, (not having positions on the roster makes it incredibly difficult to crest a players available list) I’ll even back off my desire to with draw from the league and stay past season two.

Either way I’ll finish this season. I have no drops as I’m down 5 players as it is.
