I vote no on starting a clock from here at this point. Traveling for the holiday in 2 days and going out of my mind with work and social commitments. Besides, we can’t actually kick off a season for what 4 months?
I vote to keep going, but no on any clock. We do have plenty of time. The pace that we have been going, seems fine to me. There are plenty of other things to do, the rest of this month.
with a roster of 30 and the increased number of players who in past were either unleashed or simply left off...we may find ourselves in a situation where players don't have 2 primary catchers....enough pure relievers.....enough starters etc.... lets shoot to get thru 15 rounds....take a break for the Holidays....(watch bowl games...fix the house ....etc...) and pick back up closer to when the cards come out....
Let's see. My starting rotation so far is a rookie phenom, a young guy who doesn't give up many homeruns, and two guys with injury problems, including recent Tommy John surgery. Now if I can get a fifth guy who isn't suspended for something, this could work for the short-term.
