90s keeper league needs 1

PostMon Jan 07, 2019 9:07 pm

we will be starting year 3, with a great group of managers. We keep 3 of current roster, have a one round draft and then go to autograft for other 21 players. Let me know who is interested.

Here's a link to the available team (owner keeps 3 players from roster):

https://365.strat-o-matic.com/team/1500202

So, Randy Johnson, Fred McGriff and Jim Thome can be the core of your team (or others if you prefer from this roster).

New owner will have 3rd pick in the supplemental draft to pick from the pool of non-keeper players.

Two questions. Unique stadiums, yes or no? Will season six be a complete redraft or will the keepers remain the same year after year? In the 60s keepers league, we redraft after five seasons in reverse order of the standings for the previous five year period to allow the manager's that have struggled to get a shot at being more competitive during the next five year period. Without a redraft, the managers that finish at the bottom year after year tend to drop out. I realize that is not the case for you since this is a nearly new keeper league and that Rosie dropped due to his Mother's health issues.

Thanks Mike.

Hi. I'm somewhat new to the league so I can't answer all your questions. But I can tell you that there are unique ballparks. We have been allowing new owners to pick a new stadium as long as it's not already taken (I chose a new one when I joined last season).

As for the redraft, yes there is one - I just can't remember what year it is in. It's not actually a new league. I think the last season was season 32! So I think there is a redraft for season 35, but I'll let one of the veterans confirm that.

When jayhawk said this is season 3, he meant we are in year 3 of the 5-year cycle (redraft after every five years) since the next season will actually be #32.

Thanks for the clarification. Is there a thread with the keepers for the upcoming season or have they not declared yet?
What stadiums are currently being used?

With those answers, I will let you know if I am joining.
