This is a four series commitment. Everyone should know when signing up that play in all 4 seasons is required of everyone who signs up. No season record is being discarded, it is the standard mystery tournament rules with one team in each of the 60s, 70s, 80s, and 90s. The scores are summed according to the usual rules to determine the top 12 scoring managers. If you are one of the top 12 scoring managers, you can play in the finals, or you can choose to give up your spot to the 13th highest scorer. So, an iron-clad 4 season commitment.

I have a question about the card sets. I've only played ATG8 and some of the individual seasons for far. I was glancing at the 60s set and see that each player has five individual season cards associated with them. Do these individual seasons get used somehow or does only the average of the five seasons get used? Thanks!

Just one season is used and you try to figure out which one it is and if it's worth the salary. If a player is dropped the season doesn't change. See the 60s, 70s, 80s, and 90s topic Help w/ reading cards for Mystery Tournament Managers.
