2018 Players Championship Finals Discussion

League 1 Regular Season ends Friday. Leagues 2 and 3 wrap up the regular season a week later.

I have a question (and by asking it, I am by no means assuming that I will advance to the Finals league).

It's a 7 or 8 round player plus ballpark draft right?

And if so, do we draft our ballparks before the players, at the end of the player draft, or mixed in wherever we want to? I.E., I could draft my park first , last, 2nd , 4th, wherever i want to spend the pick strategically?

Ballpark can be selected at any time. Last year beginning of the fourth round was the first ballpark pick

I have been scared to say anything here for fear of jinxing myself, but up 7 games with 6 to play, I feel comfortable asking. Draft order is based on qualifying league standings only, and not on points or finish or anything occurring during the semifinals, correct? So Jeep is still #1 overall pick no matter what happens in league 1 playoffs?

I'm not positive, but I think for the 12 teams that make the finals, wins from semis are added to overall for final league seeding since JPav was commish a few years ago. (we have been running his general format since) Though last year it made no difference in the seeding as no one that made the finals actually passed any other finalist in total wins.

I found the link--in 2015 tourney under "looking further down the road" first post in that thread:

"Reference is made to the slight change in the point system, adding points accumulated in the semi-finals round to the manager's points total from the qualifying rounds. This will effect the final overall standings, impacting the order of picks in the live draft for the Champions League."

Thank you. I went back and looked at last years finals draft, and yes, it looks like the order among the top 3 did change after the semis.

What an exciting finish for League 2 semis--four teams tied for the wildcard, and two of those missed the division by one game!! tiebraker/heartbraker league
