2019 Mystery Tournament Parameters and Sign ups

There is conflicting info regarding deadline for sign-up. Is it 1/21 or 2/1? Please confirm.

Deadline for sign up is 01/21

sign-ups have been stuck at 96 for a couple days. If we do not get any more sign-ups, we will run a randomizer for the first 84 and form 7 leagues. If some people who signed up do not enter a league, the open spots will be filled in order of sign ups. If all the leagues fill and we have 12 people waiting, then those 12 will form the final league. We'll look where sign-ups stand on Monday before making a final decision. Stay tuned.

franky35, our current 96 total gives us 8 full leagues, so it would be anyone who signs up beyond this point that would have to wait for more people to form a league.....correct?

96 signups is almost certainly not enough to fill 8 leagues. In past tournaments, there were several people signed up that did not enter a league. If we start with 7 leagues and all the leagues fill then we can use the last 12 to start a league; but if we start with 8 leagues and several leagues don't fill (which is likely to happen), then we would need to find fillers and we might have several leagues that start late. Hopefully, we'll get several more signing up and it will be an easy decision to start with 8 leagues.
