Who's in CF and who's in LF?

PostMon Jan 28, 2019 10:35 am

I have Billy Hamilton - $9 mil who's a 1 (+3) e9 and a 2 in LF

..... and Culyer $10.01 2 (-3) e9 in CF but a 1 in LF.

I'm going with the 1's but how bad is that +3 in CF as opposed to the -3 ?

If you have a RF with any kind of an arm as well, no one can go super aggressive running on you. I doubt if it will make as much difference as having a couple of 1's out there!

Play the 1's . I've won many times with Ashburn or Combs in CF. I (generally) dont' worry about arms.

OTOH, there was THIS team...

Hamilton is such a PERFECT leadoff batter, I just suck it up and ignore the +3 arm.

That said, I've always wanted to go through an entire season of boxscores to try to figure out what happened every time the ball was hit to CF during 162 games. I'd like to know how many runs that +3 arm costs a team relative to a more standard -1/-2 arm
