All MLB cards from 1871-2017 are eligible per Strat.
(2018 cards will be eligible for 19.4)
Our 19.1 parameters are as follows.
1. One nomination per member only
2. When we hit 50 unique nominations we will begin voting
3. If we get more than 50 those missing the cut will roll to 19.2
4. We will have one poll of 50 cards; the top 25 will be added
5. Any ties for the 25th spot will automatically be added in 19.2
6. Next "x" highest vote getters will get another shot in 19.2

12.1995 Edgar Martinez SEA DH Best Year BY FAR 639PA (0 INJ) 356/479/628 1.107 OPS, 3L Balance, 1b-4e30, 3b-4e47, DH only will drive the price down, so should be a great DH at any cap. (Won't be DH only, very playable at 1b)
13.1986 Hubie Brooks MON SS/3B .340/.388/.569, 3L Balance, SS-3e32(not eligible at 3b), Not the best defence, but man can he hit. I had him for a full season in the 80's game, he ended up with 233 hits and 46 hr's. A fun card!
14. 1981 Nolan Ryan, Astros - unfortunately strike-interrupted, but his was Ryan's best season - 1.69 ERA | 195 ERA+ | 2.28 FIP, 3L Balance, S7 (no idea how they will treat the strike, he is doubtful for the *)

Career highs in BA, HR, RBI, BB, OBP, SLG, OPS, OPS+ & TB. 2nd in MVP voting to HOFer Willie Mays. Batted .347 36 104 .437 .706 1.143 vs. RHP and a respectable .287 13 37 .340 .518 .858 vs. LHP. This card would be a big improvement over Big Klu's chronically under performing $6 mil card.

41. 1883 Jim Whitney, SP, Boston Beaneaters, 514 innings pitched, 37-21 W-L, gave up 128 ER and just 7 HR, walked only 35 and struck out 345, WHIP of 1.025, 2R Balance, S9*/R3

43. 2010 Carlos Ruiz C - .302/.400/.447 , 2L Balance, C-1(-2)e1 - "Chooch", hugely popular player in Philly, one of the better catchers around for a few years, this was his second best year but more representative of his prime (and his highest finish in MVP vote - 17th). Should be fun, less expensive ATG C option esp for Phillies fans!
44. 1919 Hod Eller SP 19-9 2.39era 137K, E Balance, S7*/R5, Won games 5 and 8 of 1919 Black Sox series for Reds, when approached by gambler to lose game 8 Eller threatened to punch him "Square in the nose"
45. 2017 Max Scherzer SP WAS 16-6 SO 268 ERA 2.51. WHIP 0.90, 8R Balance, S7 (50/50 on receiving the *)
46. 1950 Eddie Yost 3B 1e31 .295 avg .440 obp .405 slg, E Balance - The Walking Man's best card would be great for the top of the order. We could use more cards like Yost in the set.
47. 1971 Steve Mingori, Indians, LHRP, 1-2 1.43 ERA 0.971 WHIP, 2R Balance, R2. Career bests in in ERA, WHIP, HR9, H9 (an amazing 4.9).
48. 2012 Miguel Cabrera, Detroit. The Triple Crown year. MVP and Batting Champ. This card is a 4R, so it's not only historic, but nice for those Minute Maid teams. 330/393/606, 4R Balance, 3b-4e14 1b-4e14
49. 2000 Ivan Rodriguez, Texas. AVG .347/OBP .375/SLG .667, E Balance, C-1(-5)e1 It was easily his best hitting card. It has a bad injury rating but that should only drive the salary down to a price that is worth the risk. The card we currently have isn't used much but this card would be used. Probably a 4 or 5 INJ
