Draft moving along very nicely without the clock or the diamond dope issues. I do apologize for taking almost two hours on my picks this afternoon. I had a suicidal patient who had to be hospitalized and we had to have CPS come and put her kids into foster care. After 2:30 p.m. I wasn't able to attend to the game as all my attention was focused on resolving that crisis. Didn't even get home until after 5:30 and that has happened only a handful of times in the past 20 years. There is some possibility of me being tied up a bit tomorrow afternoon when I go into work at 1, but there should hopefully be no untoward delays on my part.

Draft going well so far. The only player I have missed out on has been Carew. That forced me to take Sisler who is more money, which will impact somewhere else. Had interest in Tommy Davis but was not willing to draft him high.

Glad you're happy with your draft, Jet. Over here, my team is completely upside down. I am now debating between a huge 5 man rotation (Petey, Hecker, Schupp, Adams, Slim) or a 4 aces staff. Both have their disadvantages. I don't love the idea of trotting out 4 righty aces in a lefty park. And the remaining non stars are crappy values, including Schupp, Adams, and Slim. Pre draft, I was hoping for Petey / Kershaw / Hecker / Duren / Henry. Once Kershaw and Duren went, these remaining non stars just plain old suck. I vote to start this draft over. Call this one a practice.

In all likelyhood, my players are there because they don't offer good value and my strategy would be better served against 11 newcomers to strat.

I'll give you my 15th pick for Pedro. I'll even throw in free consultation with the rest of the ILC draft, so you don't make any more horrific blunders.

Okay, I'll bite. And since we don't know what divisions we are in yet?

If there is a god he/she/it should certainly put you and I in the same division this year...
