What advantage, if any, does a reliever with a zero closer rating have over relievers with no closer rating?
zero rating for closer

My guess is he gets one batter before 'non-closer' status kicks in.

There actually is no advantage for a 0 closer over a N rating, BUT the AI (Hal) will bring in a 0 closer in a closing situation and almost never bring in a N closer in a closing situation, unless all closer rated players have been used.
