This is from a link in the
game rules.....Additionally, if the number is bold and green, the player cannot be injured for more than the remainder of a game (he had 680+ AB+BB in real life); if the number is italicized and green, the player cannot be injured for more than 3 additional games (he had 600-679 AB+BB in real life).....Notice there is no mention of HBP. Trout had
593 PA's. 603 if you count his HBP's. So he's subject to the Max injury. But....
He's definitely an outlier as far as the 2 injury goes. I sorted some previous sets by PA. These are the 1st players to show up with a 2 injury along with their AB+BB totals:
2018 - S. Perez - 527
2017 - Realmuto - 568
2016 - Pagan - 537
2015 - D. Murphy - 530
2014 - S. Marte - 528
2013 - Y. Molina - 535
Excellent point Jerry. Why no love for the quiet face of MLB? Here's SOM's e'mail:
