FWIW...

I started the Mystery Tournament back in 2008.
I believe there were at least 9 possibly 10 leagues running.
You can do the math on what revenue that produced for them.
It was a lot of work to organize.
Luckily other were there to assist.
I know the work Moose has done can be time consuming, especially early on.

I did it because there was no Mystery Tournament at the time.
I wasn't expecting anything in return.
However, a thank you would have been nice.
Or 4 credits for each Mystery league.

Not getting at least the Thank You visick,
I stopped running the tournament.

I've also never played in the barnstormers tourney Moose, but played against you a few. You will be missed the old and the new as I was a newbie and you were very gracious with your advice !! Good Luck and take care!!

Rick -

Appreciated all the time and effort even though I bailed the last couple years - a huge time and headache commitment with no return other than the occasional emailed thank you. We'll put your star on the SOM walk of fame right next to Nev's so it gets plenty of traffic.

Thinking on renewing the Barnstormer's Tour and the only thing I want is to talk to a live person instead of being ignored via emails to support. Getting tired of this "what can you do for us' attitude. That means an actual person to talk to on the other end besides Nurse Ratchet at Glen Head... She has a short temper!!!! :D :D :D

Can't say enough about the efforts mightymoose expended in keeping the Barnstormers going...

Sincerely,
Delivery Boy...

Thanks for all your hard work over the years, Moose. Very sad to see the Barnstormers tourney sunset. I would be interested in taking it over, but it sounds like you get very poor corporate support and that is very discouraging.
Best of luck and please stay in touch.
Thanks Again,
Scott :(

Rick,
You are a gem and a gentleman, Sir!

To the Rest of You reading this: Moose had put together a small Board of Advisors to help him make decisions on the Tourney as needed from time to time. Perhaps there is a team from that group plus a few others (like Bruce the Druid) who could continue the Barnstormer legacy, but it would be nice to also have a personal contact behind that Strat HQ Pay Wall that Moose didn't have -- which I still find quite puzzling given the revenue Rick brought in each year as in $25 X 12 X 6 Rounds X number of leagues per Round just for Starters!! Bruce from Stonehenge has volunteered ... or at least offered ... to perhaps help organize the Tourney. Who else would work with him?

PS Perhaps yon Delivery Boy should suspend his Daily Caller to his beloved Nurse Ratchet for the time being ... unless of course he's flirting with Wife #4.

Getting tired of being hung up on for any sort of answers. Kinda like wife #3's attorney when I argued I had given her more than enough spousal support and did nothing but complain more. Should have held divorce court in criminal court for the crap I went through.... Would have been more appropriate...

Sincerely,
Delivery Boy...

Just my humble opinion but Druid would be like the fox guarding the hen house. How many rule changes would favor his exact style of play ? Anyway, I wont care once I'm gone. MrBBW did get the 3 hour live draft working for testing - I'll propose some things to SOM and if they agree to it - then who knows.

I doubt that SOM is going to change from running it as a business to one of actually caring for it's fine community. That most of the community has already left didn't seem to have an effect did it ?

Shoot, I was going to return to the tour this year for old time’s sake. I don’t blame you though. Thank you for all your work over the years.
