Did Strat start using a pitch count?

PostThu Mar 07, 2019 6:34 pm

My 3 games last night:

https://onlinegames.strat-o-matic.com/game/439372/47

https://onlinegames.strat-o-matic.com/game/439372/53

All 3 starters are pulled while still @ F9.

Strahm is even checked off for slow hook.

I'm asking because I've forgot to do this several times. Did you change your team strategy? Because the default is Max closer and Aggressive relief

They have always used the pitch count.

Yes...

I know they have always counted pitches.

However STEVE, why were my SP's removed?
1. Porcello, F9 87 pitches
2. Strahm, F9 46 pitches
3. Marquez, F9 69 pitches

Max closer / Aggressive pitcher settings.

Still no good reason why they are removed...

Porcello was removed to get a better matchup with K Davis after allowing a double.
Strahm is supposed to be a reliever only, so he could be coded wrong.
Game 3, with runners on HAL was trying to get a better matchup vs Harper

Steve,

SP's usually are not removed until they get fatigued.

Since when? I've only found that to be the case with slow hook or F settings. This is just my experience of course, if you feel something is wonky, why not write to online support. I have found them nothing but cooperative in answering questions of this nature.

I'm also guessing you don't play ATG. That is mostly what I play, so maybe that's the difference.
