I will pull back Kenta Maeda to hold at 20 on my roster.

Question for Paul: Maeda was dropped after a trade to get Eddie’s roster to 30 and not as one of his pre-draft cuts. Can he still pull him back a week later? Shouldn’t the pool of who we can “un-cut” be limited to those who are still currently on the googledoc rosters? Just curious/confused.

that is correct. Eddie, you cant pull Maeda back now. He was cut as part of transaction #108 so he can't be retained.

Yes, I am not completely sure what we can or cannot do. I figured if we could trade cuts we could change our mind about them as well as long as it was before the deadline. We should get this clarified and I am ok with whatever decision arises from this.

when a trade takes you over 30 players, you must make a cut. This is immediate so that you can't carry 30+ players and see who might be wanted by someone else or give you excess players to work with. Therefore if a player is needed to be cut as part of a transaction, there is no deadline....it's immediate (rules say you get 1-day to announce who you will cut) and the trade isn't official until the owner cuts so as to stay at 30 players. Look at rule #1 under player movement. That's why I've been asking for cuts for anyone that goes over 30. Some have said can't I just cut them on my cut list and that answer is no because it gives you an unfair advantage of working with more guys and seeing if you can deal someone. Thus, any player that is cut as part of a transaction is permanent.

The keepers/cut list is different in that it can be amended up until Sunday as trades can be made. Sunday at midnight all keeper/cut/promotion lists become FINAL

I was counting on Woodruff as one of my starters so in light of another SOM error I'm in the market for another SP. Looking for a deal similar to the one I made for Velasquez but perhaps would be looking for someone a bit better to add to the rotation. Let me know if you have anyone available.
