It's a good card for a guy who played 1b for the db Braves for 15 seasons. Good add.

A reminder that I DESPISE these pre-1894 cards. Hines played in the day when the hitter could request a high pitch of a low pitch and the obliging "pitcher" would underhand the pitch to that spot. I don't think those guys should have a place in this game.

Longtime SS for the db Braves. I don't know that even if Strat cuts his defensive rating to SS-2e44, that he'd get used much. Don't mind him, but I don't think it's a great addition.

Another pre-1894 hitter. He's a Hall of Famer, but I'm not interested. I'm sure he'll be voted in anyway......
1889 Jack Glasscock, IND, Bats-R, E Balance, SS-1e80, 2b-3e71
LH--9.6 2b, 0.3 3b, 1.4 HR, 1 BB 437/453/573, 1.026 OPS

He'd be an acceptable SS if Strat cut his error rating to 40. He produces on defense. Amazingly, in 1894 his hitting curtailed sharply.

He actually continued to hit pretty well after 1894, though his .372 average in 1889 is 82 points higher than his career Batting Average. Could think of a lot better adds.
1894 Jack Doyle, NYG, Bats-R, E Balance, 1b-3e30, C-3(0)e16

Good career, mainly with the Giants. This season is a bit of an outlier for his career, but not terribly so.

A .300 lifetime hitter. A hard sell anywhere but DH, but not terrible.

Good 2b for those 1890s Cleveland Spiders teams. His OBP is outstanding. If Strat cut his errors, he's be around a 2b-2e35. Would he get used? I'm thinking he would.
