1. 1999 Fred McGriff TB 1b 4R 339/436/593 vs righties, career high .405 obp, .310 ba, 30 2b, 32 hr, a different type of McGriff card, nice addition to the Rays undermanned group of hitters, Tampa native and original D-Ray, let's bring the Crime Dog home! https://365.strat-o-matic.com/player/3384/1999/1/1999
2. 1968 Andy Messersmith CAL S/R - We can't seem to get enough votes for the 69 card, so how about his BEST card? 0.97 WHIP, 2.37 ERA, 81 IP 44 hits 74 K's (great 5 man rotation option!)
3. 1922 Ray Grimes CHC 1B .354/.442/.572 45 doubles, 12 triples 159 OPS+, RHH probably a 2 or 3R, career cut short by back problems, gives the CHC Pre another choice besides Cavarretta
4. 2009 Adrian Gonzalez SD 1B. - Gold Glove, 40 homeruns in Petco and no cards in the ATG. (Padres only good 1b in the set is McGriff)
5. 1969 Ollie Brown, SD, 5L Balance, RF-2(-4)e8 no card in ATG
6.1930 George Watkins, STL, Bats-L, 5R Balance, LF/RF-3(-1)e15, CF-4(-1)e15
Talk about an upgrade! Two cards now, at 0.55 and 0.97. In 1930 he came on like Chicxulub - 373/415/621. This is the highest batting average for a rookie in NL baseball history (baseball almanac)
7. 1972 Gary Nolan, Reds, RHSP 15-5 1.99 1.006 Career bests in ERA, WHIP, W-L%. Led NL in W-L%, 2nd in ERA (trailing only Steve Carlton, 1.97 to 1.99), & BB9, 3rd in WHIP (behind Carlton & Don Sutton) and 8th in H9. Nolan was plagued by arm trouble throughout his injury shortened career, but still was lifetime 110-70 .611 with a career 3.08 ERA. A good reverse RHSP at 3L. Post War and Expansion Reds could use another SP.

14.1988 Bobby Witt, TEX, RH SP, no card for the wild man, 22 starts, 13CG, 174IP, 148K, 101W, 3.92 ERA, 13HRA, led league with 16WP (but, hey, who’s counting?); good option for 5-man Rota, and likely cheap.
15. 2007 Bobby Jenks CWS https://365.strat-o-matic.com/player/90275/2007/1/2007
16. 2009 Nick Punto, MIN, Bats-S, 1L Balance, 2b-2e5, SS-2e21, 3b-2e11, Steal: *4,5/-(19-12) https://365.strat-o-matic.com/player/925/2009/1/2009. We need bench players good at all 3 inf positions in ATG.
17. 1897 Fred Clarke (Pirates, formerly Louisville Colonels). Best season for HOF'er. His current best card has 2 pts. of injury. RH--3.5 2b, 1.5 3b, 1.4 HR, 8 BB 345/400/454, .854 OPS
19. 2007 Russ Springer, Cardinals, 8-1, 2.18 ERA, .909 WHIP, probably best year of 18+ seasons with 10 or more teams, good complement to Izzy in a franchise league, is 7R, $4.00 in 2007 set
20. 1989 Mickey Tettleton, Orioles, Ca; 26 HR & 73 walks in only 411 AB – he had a strong argument for MVP in 1989 Orioles miracle turnaround season
21. 1986 Ron Hassey, C White Sox .323/.406/.481 This card is a huge improvement over the 2 Hassey cards already in ATG.https://onlinegames.strat-o-matic.com/p ... 1986/1/101

24. 1962 Floyd Robinson, CHW, LF/RF 45 2b, 10 3b, 11 (Old Comiskey) HRs
25. 1974 Don Money - MIlwaukee - Bulletproof - Only 5 errors at 3B all season (.989 % compared to league average of .954) - 15 HR's and 19 SB's
