1987 Dwight Evans, BOS, Bats-R, 4L Balance, RF-1(-4)e2, 1b-4e26
LH--7.7 2b, 0 3b, 13.3 HR, 19 BB 449/551/990, 1.541 OPS
RH--7.2 2b, 0.3 3b, 7.6 HR, 27 BB 316/493/693, 1.186 OPS
This is a great card. Led League in RBI, 4th in MVP voting. It has the defense, and it has more power and hitting than the current 1984 card. This card is better than the 1981 season, plus it doesn't have 81's injury problems.
1964 Felix Mantilla, BOS, Bats-R, 4L Balance, RF/LF/CF-4(+1)e4, 2b-4e4, SS-4e22, 3b-4e65, 15 Game INJ Risk
LH—2.8 2b, 1.4 3b, 16.9 HR, 13 BB 376/462/981, 1.444 OPS
RH--5.7 2b, 0 3b, 8.6 HR, 10 BB 320/396/648, 1.044 OPS
Fun, cheap card.
1896 Jesse Burkett, Cleveland Spiders, Bats-L, 1R Balance, LF-4(+1)e25, 3 Game INJ Risk
LH--3.9 2b, 4.1 3b, 1.9 HR, 7 BB 494/536/671, 1.207 OPS
RH--4.4 2b, 4.1 3b, 2 HR, 7 BB 552/589/740, 1.329 OPS
For comparison shopping:
1895 Jesse Burkett, Cleveland Spiders, Bats-L, E Balance, LF-4(+1)e25, BULLETPROOF
LH--3 2b, 3.3 3b, 1 HR, 15 BB 523/602/660, 1.262 OPS
RH--3 2b, 3.3 3b, 1 HR, 15 BB 524/603/661, 1.264 OPS
1900 Burkett (current card), STL, Bats-L, 1R Balance, LF-2(+2)e9
LH--0 2b, 4 3b, 1.4 HR, 13 BB 415/491/545, .936 OPS
RH--0 2b, 4 3b, 1.7 HR, 14 BB 434/513/575, 1.088 OPS
1895 card appears to be bulletproof.
The Defense is atrocious. He'd only be a DH. Excellent Offense/OBP...would that defense mean he'd get used much?
1889 Fred Carroll, PIT, Bats-R, 1L Balance, LF-3(+2)e25, 1b-3e28, CF-4(+2)e25, 2 INJ Rating, 15 Game INJ Risk
LH—8.1 2b, 4.8 3b, 0.4 HR, 35 BB 487/677/764, 1.441 OPS
RH--6.3 2b, 4.8 3b, 0.4 HR, 35 BB 464/668/719, 1.387 OPS
OBP card. Playable at 1b, nowhere else. His primary position would be Catcher, it appears.
1894 Cupid Childs, Cleveland Spiders, Bats-L, 3R Balance, 2b-2e71
LH--1.6 2b, 2.8 3b, 0 HR, 29 BB 271/481/365, .845 OPS
RH--3 2b, 2.8 3b, 0 HR, 29 BB 460/615/572, 1.187 OPS
Good 2b for those 1890s Cleveland Spiders teams. His OBP is outstanding. If Strat cut his errors like they have for some middle infielders from that era, he's be around a 2b-2e35. If they cut the errors, would he get used? I'm thinking he would.
If you decide not to go with one of those guys because of defense, this 62 Bobby Richardson card you requested info on earlier would be a great upgrade...….
1962 Bobby Richardson, NYY, Bats-R, 3L Balance, 2b-1e15
LH--6.7 2b, 2.3 3b, 1.6 HR, 7 BB 423/461/581, 1.042 OPS
RH--6.8 2b, 0.2 3b, 1.8 HR, 0 BB 308/308/424, .732 OPS
Finished 2nd in MVP Voting to Mantle, led league with 209 hits
1964 Richardson (current card), 1.53m, NYY, Bats-R,
LH--3.8 2b, 0 3b, 0 HR, 0 BB 219/219/254, .473 OPS
RH--3 2b, 1.2 3b, 2 HR, 0 BB 306/306/411, .717 OPS
