LIVE draft questions for the MASSES

PostMon Apr 29, 2019 8:09 pm

PLEASE provide constructive feedback!

Why are ATG 8 LIVE drafts between $110 and $210 Million ($100 million gap) so hard to fill????????

$215Million and above typically fill in less than 72 hours......but if the cap is less than $215 million it can take 7 plus days and yet not even fill? inquiring minds want to know why!?!?!?!?

Yes, it's simple. When you reduce the cap sufficiently, it's not longer about identifying the most productive card for your team but you must factor in "bang for the buck." What I do is very conducive to identifying players who provide "bang for the buck" but it's still simply not possible to find them within the 60 or 90 seconds allocated for a pick.

I prefer lower caps, but don't do live drafts that often.

That said, what I'd really love to see if a 200M 24-team live draft 8-)

Prefer lower caps myself, but unlike Craig prefer 30 second time limits. Just gave up years ago when I would try to start live draft leagues and no one would play.

I prefer playing the higher dollar leagues because they give me more control over my team.

I will only do live high cap at $260 and above. Making a ton of transactions during the season is the only possible fun draw to this type of league.

Actually, if you are making a ton of moves, you didn't draft well. Unless you're picking up specialty SP's for the lopsided parks in the league. And that's a loser's strategy since the adjustments are over after game 141.
