A word of explanation. Here is the rule that I was using to promote my prospects late in the FA draft:
Prospects can be promoted to the major league roster at any time, provided there is roster space available.......Here is another rule. This one will inform late round prospect promotions in the future:
Owners can drop more players, to allow for picks into the 15th round and/or to allow for prospects to be promoted from the prospect roster. If a leagues rules allow it, instead of drafting a late round guy who probably won't be worth much next year, I'll promote a prospect. This leads to fewer decisions on who to drop the following year. Bill's point is well taken though. He want's to increase the FA pool. Cool. fowldawg had a corollary named after him and I've been jealous ever since. So I'm christening this rule update the Palmtana Corollary. (I hope it doesn't spread like fowldawg's though.
