Guess Otis Nixon will need a Barnstormer's pick to ever get in.

Was glad to see Alison finally get a decent card, very happy with Stuart and Leflore although not as happy as Andy is to get Pepper Martin.

I do think the Messersmith card is kind of bogus, barely circumventing the minimum innings requirement instituted by Bill. Not sure we needed another Dawson card as all his cards basically suck anyway.

NICE ADD!
Kaline - Love it!
A-Gon - Love it!
Messersmith will really help the Angels!
Cicotte - a distant relative , so of course I'm happy about it!
Wanted Agosto for a long time!
PASS THE PEPPER!
Medlin - Great card!
Watkins & Ellsbury - great P & D options
Nice Ranger option for Beltre!
McGriff should get used too!

So at least Bruce qualified that he is indeed happy to get the Pepper Martin card, just not as happy as I am. 8-)

I keep voting for Otis; maybe next time he gets in. Also pleased to see Leflore get a decent card and thrilled that the Crime Dog is coming home to Tampa Bay.

Re the minimums, I'm thinking we may want to bump them slightly to 250/100/50 starting with 19.4.

I vote for 1884 lefty starting pitcher for the Milwaukee Brewers Ed Cushman!!! 4-0 record, 36 innings pithed, 10 hits, 0.361 WHIP, only 3 walks, and no homers!! A great addition for those 60M teams who base their budget on a lesser amount of ABs and innings pitched for second stringers and cheapies!!. So what if he played for the Union Association and pitched only 36 innings!!! We have SPs who threw less like Earl Moore, Charlie Wagner, Bert Maxwell, besides, he taught Lady Baldwin everything she knows!!! 19.4 VOTE!!!

Sincerely,
Delivery Boy...

The Last Druid was nice enough to share his Barnstormer card adds. Do you know who the other 5 cards will be?

Please don’t institute any minimums until I’ve had the chance to win barnstormers and add Eddie Gaedel....(Druid suggested him in jest once but I’m naughty enough to mean it..;)

I recall that we were told that Shane Spencer's 1998 didn't have enough PA's to qualify. In that late-call-up year for the awesome '98 Yankees, Spencer had 73 PA (67 AB) in 27 games. He hit 10 HR and posted .373 BA and an OPS of 1.321 based on .411/.910 of OBP/SLG! :o

Spencer never did anything remotely like that again. :?

My guess is that if we can't have Shane Spencer, we ain't getting Eddie Gaedel any time soon.

I like the players we ARE getting, however. :D
