The Braves have two stadium options.

Atlanta Stadium 9/9 19/16
County Stadium 1/1 1/8

Unless the Commish wants to give them one or the other.

Commish stated they are the Milwaukee Braves so that means County Stadium

I'm confused about one thing, although maybe I just haven't read the rules closely enough. I believe the commish stated that the teams in the Central and West will participate in the supplemental 1-player draft. Elsewhere the rules indicate that whether you get to draft an extra player depends on which team you take.

So, I'm not clear which it is. If I get 5th overall pick, which would put me in the Central, and I take the Detroit Tigers, do I get to pick in the supplemental draft because I'm in the Central or do I not get to, because I picked Detroit?

Looking for clarification. Thanks.

When the commish sent out the email with the rosters it spelled out what teams do and do not get a supplemental pick.

The top 5 salary teams do not get a supplemental pick if you choose them:
SF Giants
Chicago White Sox
Cincy Reds
Detroit Tigers
Milwaukee Braves

If you choose one of the next three teams you get one supplemental player with a salary of up to 3M:
Baltimore Orioles
LA Dodgers
Boston Red Sox

If you choose one of the next four teams you get one supplemental player with a salary of up to 4M:
St Louis Cards
Pittsburgh Pirates
NY Yankees
Minnesota Twins

If you choose one of the next five teams you get one supplemental player with a salary of up to 7M:
Cleveland Indians
Chicago Cubs
LA Angels
KC A's
Philadelphia Phillies

The supplemental player pool consists of any player assigned to NYM, WAS or Houston. These three teams are not available to be picked as your franchise as they would not be competitive in this league.

I thought he'd also said teams in the Central and West would get supplemental picks, but I don't see that now. Perhaps he edited the post, or maybe I'm imagining things.

Seems clear now, thanks.

I believe it is based on the team you select. Some teams get a player (most) a few do not. Different max per player based on the team as well. It is in a post here.

I'm open to input on the timing of starting the draft. One option is to wait for the 70s season to conclude. However, we could start the team selection sooner if the group is aligned.

BC Manager raised a valid point which needs clarification.

The determination for eligibility to participate in the supplemental draft is NOT dependent on your division. The determining factor is based on the team selected not the division. So, if the owners with the first four picks select teams which are listed as being eligible for a supplemental player, they WILL participate in the draft.

The top 5 salary teams--regardless of division they end up in---are not eligible for adding to their roster via the supplemental draft.

I will clarify this point via an edit to the league rules.

Regarding LM Bombers question on the stadium for the Braves---since the Braves played in Milwaukee in for 6 years of the 60s, County Stadium shall be their home.
