Of my last 17 teams that have hosted a playoff series. On the opening night of said playoff series, my teams are a combined 4-18.

I shit you not, despite being the "in theory" better team, my teams have won 4 out of my last 22 home openers in the playoffs.

And these teams had a combined winning % of .586 in the regular season and a home winning % of .602 in the regular season.

Yet their winning % on opening night of home playoff series is .182!

That is totally insane!

17 teams can each only play 1 opening game (not opening night) per series. 5 of the 17 advanced (showing how important losing game 1 is by the way) and were home team for the next round of the playoffs hence 22 games.
