Guys,
This is what the Rules say on Player Movement:
1) TRADES are allowed and encouraged. Trades must be posted by both owners on the league website before they can be enacted. The trading of draft picks is also authorized. Unbalanced trades
(two for one, three for two, etc) are authorized provided that the 40 man roster limit is maintained at all times; in the event of an unbalanced trade the owner of the team whose roster exceeds the 40 man limit is allowed
1 day to release player(s) to get back to the 40 man limit. You draft as many rounds as it takes to fill your roster to 40. (not all owners may draft in every round).
Per Dave:
The Supplemental Free Agent Draft is only 3 Rounds. Owners with less than a full roster may use the Supplemental Free Draft to get back to a 40 Man Roster provided they can do it within 3 Rounds. There will never be more than 36 picks made in the Supplemental Free Agent Draft.
Litangel designed these rules as the original Commish. I think the intent of Rule 6 was if an owner was short 1 to 3 players of 40 an owner could draft that number to get back to a 40 Man Roster. Rule 3 is very clear that you can't draft more than 3 players. If you guys want to make changes to the Supplemental Free Agent Draft, please submit them for a vote. I have no qualms in making changes.
Grant's question was: "If I drop only one player can I trade the two picks I couldn't use in the draft"? Yes, you can provided it
falls into the pervue of Rules 3 & 6 & the guys that you want to trade with abide by Rules 3 & 6 as well. They can make their Additional DROPS quick so I can update the Availability Players Listing. We can move the Draft Start back if need be.
I hope this clarifies your question. Sorry it has taken so long. Life got in the way a bit.
Tim
