They caught Buck Martinez instead of Charlie Moore, Ray Fosse at 1B instead of Cecil Cooper, Jim Gantner at 3B instead of Sal Bando, Lenn Sakata at 2B instead of Paul Molitor, and Dick Davis and Jim Wohlford in the corner OF spots instead of Lezcano and Oglivie. Davis was their regular DH, they gave that job to Don Money. So only Robin Yount and Gorman Thomas were in their normal spots.

They banged out 6 singles, 2 doubles, and a triple and drew 1 walk, but still failed to score as they made 2 outs on the bases and Davis grounded into a double play.
