Should 100 win teams automatically earn a freebie?

Are you playing in different leagues than I am? Because I've seen only 11 teams win won 100 or more games out of 684 possible teams in my last 50 leagues. Pretty sure that doesn't qualify as MANY.

I suspect that the online game has a small profit margin and doubt that they can afford to give more free credits away.

If I were Richman, I wouldn't even consider awarding an extra credit for 100 win teams. The terms and conditions of prizes are already in place. Maybe they could do a monthly contest for most wins, making sure the leagues are competitive and above board, but otherwise...

That would be a cheap and easy compromise, once they figure out how to exclude teams that should be exluded.

I did not post there were many 100 win teams, just that many of them flame out in the playoffs. But yes I'm probably playing different sets (not just ATG). Daily Baseball it is quite common to win 100 and have cards change for the worse after game 141. Also the 20XX leagues where the divisions become unbalanced due to salary dumping.

This came up in a discussion recently, but I can't for the life of me find the topic/thread.

But winning 100 games is an accomplishment in this game (unless you have multiple teams in the same league then it's possible to win 143) and should be rewarded in some fashion. It was suggested that 100 win teams earn a freebie automatically and I personally thought it was a great idea. From my experience, there is a 100 win team maybe once very 5-10 leagues at the most.

It would sure take the sting out of being the best team in the league and then getting bounced in the semis.

Thoughts?

And does anyone with Strat's ear want to present such an idea?

NO 100 wins meaningless

Absolutely agree, no prizes for win totals - don't like the concept, plus cheating knuckleheads may be more tempted.
