Aaron in Cf

PostThu Jul 25, 2019 4:56 pm

I am using Hank Aaron 2(-2) in CF even though he is a 1(-2) in RF
I am using Sosa who is a 3(-4) in both CF and RF in right
So I have a 2 in center and a 3 in right instead of 3 in center and 1 in right
HAL keeps switching them every chance he gets and there is no way to stop him.
My question is, Is HAL right?

Going by the X charts, CF-2 e6 / RF-3 e4 (Aaron in CF) would increase opposing teams OPS by .022541 more than CF-3 e4 / RF-1 e6 (Sosa in CF).

This calculation doesn't include arm strength. CFs get more balls hit to them than RFs by about 1/3, so a better arm in CF needs to be factored in some, pushing it even more in favor of Sosa in CF.

HAL is correct.

Yep, I said it! HAL IS CORRECT!

I must be mellowing in my old age....
