2. 1930 Carl Reynolds, White Sox, RF/LF 2(-1)e12, CF 3. Bats R .359/.388/.584/.973 with 16 SBs, 22 HRs and 104 RBI, with career highs in PA, H, R, BA, TR (18!), HR, RBI, OBP, SLG, OPS, OPS+ & TB. Only Sox legends Luke Appling, Shoeless Joe Jackson and Eddie Collins (twice) had a higher single season BA for the White Sox. Reynolds had blazing speed and was considered among the best OFers in the game, but was slowed by injuries after 1930. HOFer Al Simmons played for the Sox from 1933-35, but Reynolds' 1930 season was better than any of the 3 by Simmons. Reynolds finished his 13 year big league career with a .302 career BA. He has just one lousy $1.34 mil card with the 1934 Red Sox.

4. 1992 Curt Schilling P PHI. He spent most of his time in Philadelphia and should have a card there. 1992 saw a career best ERA, H/9 and HR/9. Low K totals should keep his salary down and this card can both start and relieve.

5. 1969 Mack Jones - The starting left fielder and darling of the expansion Montreal Expos, Jones hit a three-run home run and two-run triplein an 8–7 win over the St. Louis Cardinals in the Expos' first home victory as a franchise at Jarry Park. Jones' blast was also the first MLB home run hit outside the United States. Jones was so popular in Montreal that the left-field bleachers in Jarry Park were nicknamed "Jonesville." Andy:
Posting to show the data from the actual Strat cards for the 19.4 Nominations. I input all stats on DiamondDope through Veterans 1975 (10,10,10,10) to give us an idea of how the card will actually perform. I've included some current card information for a few players of consequence that already have a card or cards.

I would like to submit for consideration the next time the cards expand the 1885 Mickey Welch. He was 44-11 with a 1.66 ERA AND 55 complete games

Just a friendly reminder...

When playing in a theme league as the KC Royals, your SS combination is:

Freddie "Too Tall" Patek

and

UL "Toothpick" Washington

Please remember this when voting for players that you'll never ever use because of their OF arm, # of errors or their D.

Bob Watson, Bob Meusel, Billy Rogell, Otis Nixon, Thornton Lee, Max Bishop, Alex Fernandez, Mike Donlin, Johnny Logan, and others either have no card or need an upgrade; please consider players who deserve to be in the set due to their longtime careers.

Andy,

I take it you don't like the Escobar choice?

Actually I like the Escobar choice, Royals SS needs an upgrade, as do Twins (91 Greg Gagne).
My list wasn’t exhaustive. 8-)

I voted for it this time. I think if it stays on the ballot long enough, it will eventually get in

I'm a little uncertain about this comment with regard to Bob Meusel. His new card looks to me like it would be a marginal improvement over the current card, but not a major upgrade. Am I missing something? :?:
