To tplatypi;
We conduct the draft right here on this league forum. We are currently waiting for Meat to make the first pick....once he picks things should start to move along.
The premise of the league is that each manager will get to pick a team from the original team column and one from the expansion team column. You have exclusive rights to players on those 2 teams. If a player has cards with 2 different franchises , the team that has his highest salaried owns his rights. For example; Mark McGwire has cards with both the Cardinals and Athletics. Whoever has the Cardinals has the rights to McGwire because his highest salaried card is with the Cardinals. However, should the Cardinals not have McGwire on their roster once the first game is played, Oakland could now claim him off the waiver wire because they have his other card. In addition Oakland could also use McGwires Cardinals card if they so desired. You must have at least one players card on your roster in order to claim him.
It is important when perusing teams you are thinking about picking to identify which team has a players rights; some examples are Bonds belonging to the Giants, Clemens to Toronto and Alomar to the Indians( these are just a few examples of player with cards on multiple teams).
Basically you are trying to build a franchise using the 2 teams you are choosing.
Also you can choose a team from either column first if you so desire.
And we are using the ATG post WWII set
