Hal not using pitchers in role manager wants

I am playing in world series and I lost because hal decided to use a different pitcher than the one I have designated as my set up man. This also happened in the semifinals. Has anyone else had this problem and what if anything short of dumping the pitcher can you do.

To add insult to injury my starting pitcher lost in 10th inning 1 to 0 and it was the series.

Yes many times but it has also happenned to the team i am playing against. So i figure it all evens out in the end

Maybe the pitcher in your settings was tired? Or maybe you haven't figured out the settings yet, being new. Hard to say without ALL the info

If this was your first season chances are you haven’t yet learned all of the nuances of the pitchers preferences. For example, the vertical order in which the relief roles are arranged are very important.
