Join My League

In a once popular theme along this line, 12 managers committed to play 12 seasons. In each league, one manager took a turn drafting their entire team first, stadium included. Then No. 2 drafted an entire team, No. 3 an entire team, etc., through No. 12, who got their choice from what was left by everyone else. During the 12 seasons, each manager picked a team once from each place in the draft order. The draft order for all the seasons is randomized before the start.

You can use any salary cap and other settings. The higher the cap, the smaller the talent pool available for the lower draft picks, but I would guess that $140 would work well. It helps to start a new league every three or four weeks to keep interest high and to avoid taking two-plus years to get it all done.

This way, everyone gets to build their dream team.

That was at $60M Frank, lots of fun. I lost 100 games with the 1st pick and won the league with the 12th.

No I was in the same league as Mike for several runs of the 12 season commitment. I believe the cap was 130.

Wish we could find 12 managers to commit to 12 seasons to do that league again.

I enjoyed that league as well, and it works well with a higher cap like 140. I'd be willing to wade back into that pool...

I think I could speak for myself and two others that we would re up for a 12 season commitment. Anyone else interested?

Old-timer who hasn't played since maybe the first Obama Administration. Just admiring the use of the word "whimsy" in this thread. Appreciate the word usage. Yeah, and the league idea is stupid, too, although "whimsy" is a much classier word than "stupid."
