Dream Team Opportunity! FULL, THANKS

PostTue Oct 08, 2019 2:12 pm

Dream It, Build It -- 12 teams, 12-season commitment. Everyone gets one shot to build the team they always wanted but couldn't sneak through a draft.

How it works: We will set up a live draft league. When all managers load, Strat will push the league through to the preseason without a draft. Each team will show 0 players on its roster. The Team #1 manager will complete their roster, followed by Team #2, Team #3, etc. When all teams are complete, Strat will set the start date for that season, and teams are free to tweak their rosters as they see fit. The plan is to start leagues 3-4 weeks apart (flexible within reason to accommodate real life), so the 12-season series will finish in a year or so. We have a randomized chart for the draft order. You will know in advance the order of picks for the whole series.

$140, DH, 5% Free Agent Drop Penalty, random divisions, unique ballparks. No time limit on building your team when it's your turn, but maybe try to get it done within a day to keep things moving.

If you sign up, please be able to commit to the entire series. It sucks trying to find a replacement for a team that already has burned its No. 1 pick.

One thing we did in past Dream Team leagues was set up the divisions 1/4/7/10 East, 2/5/8/11 Central, 3/6/9/12 West. Certainly doesn't have to be that way, but it does ensure that one manager doesn't get stuck in #1's division every single season, while another is always with 11 and 12.
