Dual Franchise League Season 27

DUAL FRANCHISE LEAGUE SEASON 27




This is the 27th season of the dual franchise league. This League is using the ATG POST WWII CARD SET. Salary cap is 150 million, 5% DROP; WE WILL be using a DH, no waivers. You MUST have a players card on one of your franchises in order to use him on your roster.

Each manager must pick one team from each column below. . For the most part , teams on the left are original franchises and most teams on the right are expansion teams. ( THERE ARE SOME EXCEPTIONS HOWEVER, AND SOME TEAMS ARE COMBINED BECAUSE OF LACK OF PLAYERS.) A manager has exclusive rights to players on his roster; if a player is on more than one roster, he belongs to the team where his salary is highest. We are using a serpentine draft, so each manager picks one team first and then we reverse the order. You can make your first pick from either column. List of teams will be posted below. We have 10 of 12 managers returning from the previous season, so we are currently looking for two managers to fill out the league. If interested, please post here, first come first serve. You would be drafting in the spaces marked TBD on a first come/ serve basis.

The draft will begin on or about Nov 1st so there is plenty of time to research teams.

Because Dr Freeze and MFL are not returning there are 2 openings....so rather than give 2 of the top 7 picks to new managers I thought it would be fitting to for lack of a better word reward the returning players: so I have decided to drop each of those picks down 5 slots each....thus the 2 new managers will be picking 7 & 12. Okay, MrBaseball and Musial have filled out the league. Looks like no new cards this week. So I guess we can start the draft anytime, whereas we have no idea when they will be released. If they are released before we fill the league, we will use them.
Just a few clarifications for the new managers; we are using the Post WWII set, salary cap is 150 million , we are using a DH and a 5% drop penalty throughout the season. You can make your first team pick from either column, post or expansion. You may use any stadium in the set, including NEL parks. The only NEL player eligible to be on a roster is Satchel Paige whereas he has a card with the Indians.
For players with cards on multiple franchises; whichever manager has the highest salaried card has the rights to said player.
If a manager who has the rights to a player chooses not to use him, then the manager who has the second highest salaried may pick him up once the first game is played.
Addionally, a manager can use any card for a player who has multiple cards; for example whoever has the rights to Barry Bonds could use either one of his Giants cards or use his Pirates card whichever one he prefers.
You must have a players card on one of your franchises in order to use him.
