Who has the longest running keeper league?

My league. Pesos de beisbol has been going since 2012 (2011 cards).

Institutional memory. I like it. I commish two KL's:

HCKL (begun by qksilver69) - 2006
USKL2 (kaviksdad) - 2005

USKL is the first and still running may also be 2005 but could be earlier, it was started before both USKL2, (hence the 2 in USKL2) and HCKL.

That said, the longest running "league" if you call it that, is the NLD (New Live Draft ) but it's non keeper. which may have started in 2002. you'll have to consult with Joe the Jet though on the exact start date

If you count the card sets in use, then Reelin' in the Years League might be the longest running. It was a retro keeper that started with the 2001 season in 2010.

We should build a directory of all of the keepers. Here are the starting years and card sets for the rest of mine that are still running:

Standard keepers:
Summer-Winter KL - 2009
Pre-Card Draft KL - 2010

Other retro keepers, starting with 2007 card set:
Deja Vu League - 2012
C'est La Vie League - 2013
Those Were the Days League - 2017

The 2010KL Keeper League started in 2010, hence 2010KL. Still going. We started with the 2009 Unleashed Card Set.

I went back into the archives trying to find out who started USKL (Bubba Hotep?). Ninersphan was there. Is he the one Bill?

While looking, I came across this thread for the "2005-2006 Keeper League." Fits and starts were the order of the day at the outset but they persevered and got the league going. The thread is a good illustration of frustrations that commissioners go through at times. As then, proxies are still a drafts best friend. "penn" refers to penngray who maintained a live draft site back then. visick, beware, the possibility of your stress level increasing as you read the thread is likely.

I sorta recall that league.

I'm the current commish of USKL. The first season was 2004. I still have records/data for every season since then.

For posterity, not the oldest, FInders Keepers started in summer of 2009.
24 TKL started in the same year sometime in the fall, I think.
