Am seriously disappointed that Charlie Hollacher isn't getting more votes-
I didn't nominate him but hes a lefty SS with high OBP-

Also Cobb
to quote RiggoDrill

...and most walks/highest OBP + he doesn't get injured! If added to the set, it will be Cobb's best card and the best leadoff hitter in ATG! 8-)

Because too many guys make nominations with their hearts, rather than their brains.
(Probably one of the few times where we act like a woman...    )

whoever nominated him- I give em credit for a good find--
but the rest of us just need to vote for him.

that cobb card would be nice too- I voted for it- but at least we have some good cobb cards.

Bobby Richardson has 17 votes , Charlie Neal 5
Neal looks to me to easily be the better 2b card. Richardson does nothing vs righties and is slightly worse defensively and doesn't run.

1959 Charlie Neal, LA, Bats-R, 1R Balance, 2b-1e10, SS-4e44, Steal: *3-5/-(17-12), 3 Game INJ Risk
LH--2b-11.1, 3b-1.4, HR-1.8, BB-6, 305/350/495, .846 OPS
RH--2b-3.9, 3b-3.5, HR-4.3, BB-6, 345/387/577, .964 OPS

1962 Bobby Richardson, NYY, Bats-R, 3L Balance, 2b-1e15, In Game INJ Only
LH--6.7 2b, 2.3 3b, 1.6 HR, 7 BB 423/461/581, 1.042 OPS
RH--6.8 2b, 0.2 3b, 1.8 HR, 0 BB 308/308/424, .732 OPS

IMHO...

We really don't need EITHER card.
The Yanks and Dodgers have a few choices @ 2B.

I know you guys (Salty and Steve) don't play many theme leagues, but...

KC Royals have DICK @ SS. (Patek and UL "Toothpick" )
Alcides Escobar would help them and make the Royals a better squad.

I'm not saying this because I nominated him, it's a FACT.

I nominated Rick Aguilera as well, since the Twinkies need help in the pen.
Again, a FACT.

nice nominations, some of the guys with multiple cards, not sure we need more of - I mean, I REVERE Joe Morgan, but he seems fairly well represented, though I suppose a card in the $5-7M range would be nice as long as it isn't a 2b3 and never gets used.

wake me up when Carlos Zambtano, Steve Ontiveros (the S 3b, not the pitcher that there are 2 or 3 cards for already), Dolfo Philips and Kosuke Fukudome are on the list, please.

good luck getting your favorites elected
