However, the following players are not being treated as Cubs for this league, because they were players acquired later in the season, and played more (PA or IP) for their other franchise in 2018:
Daniel Murphy [Washington]
Jesse Chavez [Texas]
Cole Hamels [Texas]
Please note that the following other players who are Cubs in Strat generally are *not* for this league, for the same reason:
Jorge De La Rosa [Arizona]
Jaime Garcia [Toronto]
In theory, there could be players that are carded to other strat teams but who actually played more for the Cubs, but there aren't any - probably because the Cubs were loading up, and didn't let any significant players leave the Cubs organization.
The idea behind this roster rule was to "play out the season" on the basis of the rosters that were in effect throughout most of the year, without regard to trade deadline roster changes.
